Viochar has placed an order for a beta version of our pyrolysis retort, to be built at our production partner in Germany. We’re excited for this milestone and look forward to its arrival in Denmark.
Once delivered, the retort will be put to work at a number of Danish farms, where it will operate under real-world conditions. This hands-on phase is a critical step in our development process, as it allows us to observe performance across different farm setups, feedstocks, and operating environments.
Based on what we learn, we’ll make any small refinements needed to finalize the retort’s design, ensuring it’s as robust, efficient, and user-friendly as possible before wider release.
Just as importantly, this pilot phase will help us build a practical knowledge base for future users, covering best practices for biochar production, from feedstock preparation to operating conditions and yield optimization. We’ll share these learnings as we go, so that farmers and producers adopting the technology down the line can hit the ground running.
